🌿 The Sensory Garden on Queen’s Promenade is a hidden gem, and one of our favourite spots to visit. It’s a place that always gets my boys excited—just mentioning it gets their little legs moving! 😊

This special garden, lovingly maintained by the volunteers at Queen’s Promenade Friends, changes with the seasons, so there’s always something new. It’s designed to engage all five senses, making it the perfect spot for little ones (and adults too) to explore:

👀 Look—at the vibrant flower colours, and in spring the bees pollinating them.
👂 Listen—to the sounds of rustling leaves and grasses and the river beside.
👃 Smell—the calming scents of herbs and flowers.
✋ Touch—the variety of textures in the plants.
👅 Taste—fresh herbs (in moderation, of course!).

There’s also a bench to sit and take it all in. We love spending time here, letting the boys soak in the sights, sounds, and smells.

Tucked away along the Thames, it’s the perfect little oasis for curious explorers. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out on a true Kingston treasure!
