✨ Romanticising my lunch date with my husband today ✨

We grabbed a takeaway lunch and coffee from @fortunella_cafe and escaped to the newly refurbished Memorial Gardens in the middle of Kingston.

It's such a lovely little spot. Plenty of shaded benches, lots of grass if you wanted to throw down a picnic blanket with the kids, and with the fountains running in the Market Place it's a really nice place to spend a morning or afternoon over the summer.

I'm choosing to remember this version of today... because school pick up in the heat was one meltdown after another. 😅😂

🥵 Last week's heatwave had us all searching for somewhere to cool down... so we've rounded up a few family-friendly spots in Kingston that can offer a break from the heat!

💦 Plus, the fountains are on in the Ancient Market Place for a splash around, and All Saints Church is a registered Cool Space, with a children's play corner and café if you need somewhere calm to escape the heat.
